This slide presentation is presented in conjunction with a spectacular exhibit of John James Audubon’s bird and mammal paintings. During the course of the evening, Nisbet will provide context for Audubon’s condor painting, which was based on a bird collected in the Columbia River drainage. Along the way Jack will trace written and oral records of these birds throughout the region over a surprisingly long stretch of time.
