Art and Science: How Wes Wehr Expanded the Vision of Stonerose
From the moment of his legendary initial trip to Republic with Kirk Johnson in 1977, Seattle artist and amateur paleobotanist Wes Wehr served as a tireless shaper and supporter of the Stonerose mission. This slide presentation explores the interplay between Wehr’s fossil work and the fine arts, with a special focus on three gallery exhibitions that he curated during some of his most productive years in the Okanogan Highlands.
