SCOURING THE BASIN:
The Impact of Ice and Flood Events on our Human Landscape
Sponsored by the Ice Age Floods Institute
Because the Ice Age Floods occurred either just before or right at the dawn of human presence in the Inland Northwest, the landscape they created has played a crucial role in how people have adapted to living here. This presentation will search for clues to the floods’ influence in tribal accounts; in journal entries, artwork, and maps of early white visitors; and in the ways we use the landscape today.
Free and open to the public
