In the wake of the Corps of Discovery’s crossing of Lolo Pass, it took a wide range of approaches to flesh out a portrait of the extended region. Mapmaker David Thompson, horticultural collector David Douglas, and forest surveyor John Leiberg kept a keen awareness the Corps as they employed their own particular talents in the field. Join us for a slide presentation that follows this trio into the Bitterroot and Clearwater world.
